BIFMA Levels

BIFMA level® support for furniture manufacturers targeting institutional and export buyers.

We help assess your product and manufacturing process against BIFMA level® criteria and prepare your application to an accredited certification body.

01|OVERVIEW

What is BIFMA Levels?

BIFMA level® is a multi-attribute sustainability certification for commercial furniture, developed by the Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association, assessing products against criteria spanning materials, energy and atmosphere, human and ecosystem health, and social responsibility — with tiered levels (level® 1, 2 and 3) reflecting increasing performance.

It's most relevant to furniture manufacturers supplying institutional buyers, corporate offices, or export markets where sustainable-furniture procurement criteria are common.

Certification is assessed and issued by an accredited independent certification body against the BIFMA level® standard. Gurur Consultancy helps you assess your product and process against the relevant criteria, prepare supporting documentation, and coordinate with the certifying body.
