CMMI Levels

CMMI readiness support built around your actual delivery process, not a documentation exercise.

We help assess your development and delivery processes against the CMMI practice areas, build the required process documentation, and prepare you for a formal appraisal.

01|OVERVIEW

What is CMMI Levels?

CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) is a process-improvement framework, widely used in software and IT services, that assesses how mature and consistent an organisation's development, service or acquisition processes are — commonly expressed as maturity levels.

Unlike ISO certification, CMMI status is confirmed through a formal SCAMPI appraisal conducted by a certified CMMI Lead Appraiser, not by a general certification body — this is a specific, licensed appraisal process.

Gurur Consultancy helps you assess your current processes against relevant CMMI practice areas, build the process documentation and evidence an appraisal will look for, and coordinate with a certified Lead Appraiser for the formal appraisal — we do not conduct the appraisal itself.

02|KEY BENEFITS

Why this matters for your business

Demonstrated process maturity for enterprise and government software/IT tenders that reference CMMI levels
More consistent, repeatable delivery processes across projects
Improved risk management, estimation and quality practices
Stronger credibility with clients evaluating vendor process discipline
03|WHO NEEDS THIS

Who typically needs CMMI Levels?

Applicability varies by business — here’s who this usually applies to.

  • Software development and IT services companies
  • IT-enabled services and BPO organisations
  • Businesses responding to government or enterprise tenders that reference CMMI maturity levels
04|ELIGIBILITY & CONSIDERATIONS

Eligibility & requirements

  • Applicable to organisations with a defined software, service or acquisition process to assess
  • Reaching higher maturity levels (3 and above) typically requires sustained process discipline over multiple projects, not a one-time documentation effort
05|DOCUMENTS

Documents & information

Commonly required documents may include:

Current process documentation — SDLC, project management and QA processes, if any
Project records demonstrating process application (planning documents, review records, metrics)
Organisation chart identifying process-owner roles
