Organic Certification

Organic certification support, from farm records to final documentation.

We help you understand which organic certification standard applies to your product and market, organise the required farm/process records, and prepare your application to an accredited certification body.

01|OVERVIEW

What is Organic Certification?

Organic certification confirms that agricultural produce or processed food products are grown and handled according to a recognised organic standard — free from synthetic pesticides, fertilisers and other prohibited inputs, with specific requirements for processing, labelling and traceability.

In India, domestic and export organic certification is most commonly assessed against the National Programme for Organic Production (NPOP) framework, administered through accredited certification bodies; export markets such as the EU or US may require certification against their own equivalent standards.

Gurur Consultancy helps you identify the certification standard relevant to your target market, organise farm or facility records, and prepare your application and documentation for an accredited certifying agency — we do not issue the certification ourselves.

02|KEY BENEFITS

Why this matters for your business

Market access to organic retail channels and export buyers who require certified organic sourcing
Premium positioning for certified organic produce or products
A documented traceability system from farm/input to finished product
Credibility with buyers who specifically source certified organic goods
03|WHO NEEDS THIS

Who typically needs Organic Certification?

Applicability varies by business — here’s who this usually applies to.

  • Farmers and farmer producer organisations transitioning to or already practising organic cultivation
  • Food processors and packers working with organic raw material
  • Exporters targeting markets that require recognised organic certification
04|ELIGIBILITY & CONSIDERATIONS

Eligibility & requirements

  • Applicable to farms and processing units that follow (or are transitioning to) organic practices — most standards require a conversion period before full organic status is granted
  • Requirements vary by target market; we help confirm which standard is relevant before starting documentation
05|DOCUMENTS

Documents & information

Commonly required documents may include:

Land records and farm/facility details
Records of inputs used (seeds, fertilisers, pest management) over the relevant conversion period
Processing and handling records, where applicable
Sales and traceability records connecting inputs to output
